I'm Nicole Beck, a food photographer and director based in San Francisco.
With over ten years in the food world and photo industry, I bring thoughtfulness and creative energy to every collaboration. I've both directed and been part of photography teams, working on in-house creative projects for some of the Bay Area’s top food brands.

Most recently I was the in-house photographer at Good Eggs, a curated online marketplace for locally-sourced ingredients, artisan groceries, and chef-driven meal kits.
At Good Eggs I had the opportunity to tell beautiful stories through my work - highlighting farmers, makers, and other extraordinary individuals who are working towards a better food system.

I was the founding photography director at Sun Basket, a healthy meal-kit startup that was established in San Francisco and quickly expanded nationwide.
As an early employee, I had the exciting opportunity to shape the brand's initial aesthetic. To keep up with our rapid growth, I built an in-house photo studio and assembled a brilliant team of talented photographers, food stylists, and retouchers.
personal projects
Travel for me sparks creativity and pushes me to think differently. Over the last few years, I’ve made repeat visits to Mexico, the Pacific Northwest, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and Vietnam. The light, the food, and the conversations with people I’ve met while traveling have informed my studio practice in unexpected ways.
